## Your tasks ##

The availability of an experimental method for depth-resolved elemental analysis is required for a wide range of applications. LMU is developing the Muon-Induced-Xray-Emission (MIXE) technique to provide a bulk, depth-sensitive, and non-destructive elemental analysis method sensitive to basically all the elements. In this frame, your tasks will be:

* Further development of the MIXE technique and operation of the MIXE Instrument GIANT
* Research in the field of non-destructive elemental analysis
* Scientific and technical support of users of the SMS facility
* Publication of scientific results and supervision of students

## Your profile ##

* PhD degree in experimental physics
* Strong background in instrumentation, data analysis and simulation of complex experimental setups
* High proficiency in modern programming languages
* Fluent command of written and spoken English
* Used to working in a larger team and good organizational skills
