Your role
We are looking for a senior engineer with experience in data engineering and machine learning that can lead the design and delivery of an ecosystem that facilitates the creation of AI Products. Responsibilities include:
- development of an SDK to automatically capture AI/ML model metadata and leverage LLMs to generate descriptive information about the asset.
- integration and publication of model metadata into UBS's model inventory and dataset catalogues for discovery and regulatory compliance purposes.
- design and implementation of an agent that collects runtime evidence and operational information about a model and publishes it to appropriate tools (e.g ML Flow).
- creation of a collection of starters/templates that accelerate the creation of new AI Products by leveraging a rich collection of the latest tools and services.
Your team
You will be working in the Applied AI and ML team, which is part of a newly established function within Group Emerging Technology. We provide solutions to help the firm embrace Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. We work with the divisions and functions of the firm to provide innovative solutions that integrate with their existing platforms to provide new and enhanced capabilities. One of our current aims is to help a data scientist get a model into production in an accelerated timeframe with the appropriate controls and security. We offer a number of key capabilities: data discovery that helps a user access the data that they need in a secure controlled manner, an AI Inventory that describes the models that have been built to help users build their own use cases and validate them with Model Risk Management, a containerised lab environment for a user to experiment and produce their models and a streamlined MLOps process that helps them track their experiments and promote their models.
