**About the Role**

 

This role will help you start your career at Swiss Re and give you a broad overview of P&C reserving.  

 

*Key responsibilities:*

 

* Provide independent assessment of P&C reserves.
* Implement new reserving models and process improvements using data analysis and statistical modelling skills.
* Contribute to providing management with the most up-to-date information through the Group's quarterly reporting materials.
* Perform 'deep dives' on specific portfolios.

 

**About the Team **

 

P&C Actuarial Control provides senior management and the Board(s) of Directors with an independent assessment of our reserves for both Reinsurance P&C and CorSo. We also support the Group Chief Actuary in the preparation of quarterly closing materials and provide the Risk Modelling team with the P&C parameters for the internal model.

 

**About You **

 

We are looking for someone who is energetic and motivated with strong interpersonal and communication skills and who pays attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.

 

*Essentials:*

 

* You have successfully completed your university degree in a quantitative field such as Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or any other degree with a quantitative component.
* You are ready to pursue a professional actuarial qualification.
* You can quickly grasp new concepts and develop them into practical solutions.
* Experience with R and other programming languages/frameworks.
* Familiarity with the use of statistical modelling, data science and data visualization tools.
