Your role

Do you have proven track record of building micro-service applications with Kotlin or Java, Spring-Boot and preferably with clouds such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry or Azure? Building and deploying micro-services to the cloud is your strength? Are you confident with iteratively refining user requirements and removing any ambiguity? Do you want to design and build best-in-class, enterprise scale applications using the latest technologies?

We-re looking for a senior Kotlin or Java developer to:

- take developer responsibilities within a team of various roles.
- transform user requirements to technical specifications.
- do test-driven development (TDD)
- qnalyze root causes of incidents and provide solutions.
- write technical documentations in a concise manner.
- take part in regular code reviews.
- share your knowledge with colleagues.

Your team

In our agile operating model, there exist pods grouped into crews. Crews are aligned to a family of products and services. Client needs are the central driver. Each pod autonomously manages and prioritizes a backlog based on product increment planning in the crew. You-ll be working in the -Obtain and Maintain Financing Stream- in Zurich focusing on Credit Pricing for UBS Wealth Management and Private/Corporate Banking. Our role is to support global WMPC Business to enable leading edge systems utilizing new technology for them and us to grow.

Your expertise

- 5+ years of experience as Kotlin or Java Developer
- deep knowledge of the Spring framework
- a background in the finance sector is a plus.
- experience in technical leadership, leading projects and setting technical directions
- experience in building microservices and distributed systems
- strong analysis and design skills (domain driven design)
- test driven development, strong skills with unit and integration testing
- experience with cloud-native micro-service architecture and development
- deep understanding of standards, methods, techniques and templates as defined by SDLC including working with Git, continuous Integration & deployment, code review process
- ability to produce concise, secure, stable and high performance code
- writing and clean code of a high-quality standard.
- iterative approach to code improvement and refactoring
- Bachelor or master-s degree or equivalent with software engineering
