- design and implement user-friendly frontend features with latest JavaScript/React technologies
- design and develop scalable, resilient and fast java application
- deliver high quality software and apply industry-wide best practices for development, build, test, and deployment automation

- challenge the status quo and come up with new ideas and solutions

Your team

You will be joining our Digital Marketplaces & Platform team in the Lending Platform Crew in Zürich. We are responsible for the strategic development of digital mortgage platform for all client groups and our work spans multiple areas of the bank with a focus on faster time to market and agile methodology. Our mission is to empower our clients with a smart, simple and user centric best-in-class user experience while ensuring a seamless integration of various client need driven capabilities.

Your expertise

- proven track record as a Front-End Software and Java Developer
- 3+ years of professional experience in building modern web applications (SPAs)
- strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive web design
- experience in React development (including best practices using hooks), and knowledge of build tools like webpack
- 3+ years of professional experience in building modern Java applications
- A deep understanding of development tools (e.g. VS Code, Spring, Spring Boot, GitLab), technologies (e.g. SOAP, REST, JPA, Kafka), databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server)
- experience in designing and testing your code
- experience working with cross-functional agile teams
- ability to accomplish complex engineering tasks independently
- analytical and problem-solving skills to cope with complex challenges in software engineering
- knowledge of Agile methodologies, continuous integration and continuous delivery
- a positive attitude and a great interest in shaping the future of technology in banking
- strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice to have skills:
- experience with developing accessible web applications
- experience with Azure infrastructure and cloud native applications
