**Operations Manager**
100% - starting as soon as possible

 

**Responsibilities:**

* Ensure the security and safety of the school premises, including management of alarms, fire safety, and emergency procedures
* Lead and line manage the operational teams to ensure the campus functions efficiently and maintains high standards across all areas
* Produce monitoring reports for the Nord Anglia Education regional and central functions as required
* Oversee grounds and facilities maintenance, including risk assessments and seasonal upkeep
* Act as the Health and Safety Representative, ensuring compliance across all areas of facilities and staff training
* Advise academic leaders and teams on all matters of health and safety in their areas, including lesson risk assessment, practical subjects, and school trips and visits
* Lead the negotiation, management, and strategic review of key service contracts (for example, facilities, catering, cleaning), ensuring commercial viability, operational excellence, and alignment with school objectives
* Lead the school's cleaning, maintenance, and grounds maintenance budgets and procurement procedures
* Lead the internal management of building and refurbishment projects, in liaison with the Finance Manager and the site team
* Coordinate room setups and school-wide logistics for assemblies, events, and external bookings
* Develop and implement relevant sections of the School Improvement Plan relating to facilities

**Qualifications and skills:**

* A relevant qualification in facilities management, building maintenance, engineering, or a related field. Training as "Charge de Securite en Protection Incendie" is an asset
* Proven experience in facilities or site management, ideally in an educational or public-sector environment
* Strong understanding of health and safety, risk assessments, and compliance regulations
* Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
* Ability to manage a team, supervise contractors, and ensure high operational standards
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on approach
* Familiarity with budget management and tendering processes
* Ability to communicate very well in both French and English is essential
* Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the needs of a dynamic school setting
