Role Purpose/Mission:

Lead the strategic direction and execution for global architectural store design and visual merchandising.

Creates, communicates, and implements the overall merchandising creative strategy, direction and vision, and sets, guides and creates overall styling and design parameters for all brand retail architecture and visual merchandising communication.
Will have dotted line/matrix leadership role over the regions to ensure consistent rollout of the vision and global merchandising concepts.


Your Tasks:

Develop the merchandising vision from retail concept to all temporary and non-temporary elements and assets.
Leads the in-house architecture team/external retail architecture agencies to conceptualize and design architectural elements in multiple channels of distribution (department stores, perfumeries, travel retail).
Oversee development of technical drawings for design concepts adapting designs as needed for local markets.
Guides and works with key partners in the regions to ensure a globally consistent brand approach while being responsive to local needs.
Ensures that standard merchandising guidelines are established and totally respected globally ensuring the visual brand standards support the global vision.
Oversee all logistics for sourcing and production; supports Procurement for more effective and efficient sourcing.
Oversee the design and development of merchandising and tester units related to permanent and seasonal programs.
Overall responsibility for budget management ensuring competitive price negotiations at all times.
Develops and directs global visual merchandising, planogram and display strategies - working with cross-functional teams (Brand, Creative, Sales) ensuring that visual execution and assets support the global 360 program.
Manage and maintain Visual Merchandising Standards and Guidelines and ensure successful communication to all partners globally.


Profile:

Minimum of 15 years of experience in industrial design/retail Merchandising with the ability to create and/or read architectural drawings
Degree in Architecture and several years of experience working with a luxury brand or cosmetics / beauty industry (mandatory) in a global role
Strong influencing, negotiation and collaboration skill required
Excellent communication and strong leadership skills
